Connecting with Future Leaders at Mitchell College’s Engagement Fair

Discovering Amistad recently participated in Mitchell College’s Engagement Fair, an inspiring event bringing together campus organizations and local partners to help students discover meaningful ways to get involved both on campus and throughout the greater community.

Reeshemah Norfleet, DA’s Director of Community Initiatives, met with enthusiastic students to share Discovering Amistad’s mission and discuss actionable opportunities to engage with our work:

  • Educational Programs: Sharing interactive learning experiences focused on history, racial equity, and social justice.

  • Community Initiatives: Introducing collaborative projects that connect collegiate communities to broader regional outreach.

  • Volunteer Opportunities: Connecting students with hands-on roles supporting program execution, outreach, and advocacy.
