Discovering Amistad and LEAP invite you to a special Community Expo and Mural Unveiling on Friday, July 31 at the Q House!

This event celebrates the culmination of our summer Arts Leadership Academy, where 55 local high school students explored the legacy of the Amistad, civic engagement, and personal growth. To commemorate and document this unique journey, the students tapped into their artistic expressions to create a stunning, collaborative community mural. Centered around themes of identity, reflection, and empowerment, the project was created under the expert guidance of New Haven’s own internationally renowned muralist, Kwadwo Adae.
