Discovering Amistad's Operations Manager, and Western Connecticut State University Alumnus Victoria Meskill will be a guest speaker for students in WCSU's honors program and their course "Crossing the Danger Water" which teaches about the phenomenon of the Middle Passage—the most treacherous part of "The Triangular Trade"—as analogue for other significant geographic and social upheavals. Victoria will connect the history of the Amistad Captives and their story with the civil justice work being done today while visiting various Amistad related sites in New Haven.
